(information taken from the book "As Frutas na Medicina Natural" (Fruits and Natural Medicine) by Alfons Balbach and Daniel S.F. Boarim. Editora Missionária, 1992):

Cashew

Cashew has antiseptic, cauterizing, vermicide and vesicant properties. It is prescribed against leprosy, cutaneous diseases such as vesicant eczema, by promoting cicatrisation; it also helps and to fight off scrofulous ophthalmias.

The juice of fresh almond, when applied on corns and warts, promotes their extirpation a few days after continuous treatment.

In the past, it was used as insecticide, by rubbing it on furniture, in order to avoid infestation by woodworms.

Against Aphtha: Apply the cashew-tree bud juice on it;

Against Corns: Apply the juice of fresh nuts topically, as a cataplasm, several times a day.
