Founded in October 17, 1983, Itaueira Agropecuária S.A. begins its history with the acquisition by CEMAG (its controller) of properties located in the semi-arid highlands of Central-Southern Piaui.

Itaueira hires the well-know Agronomist, Dr. Ermanno Bonaspetti, who initiates the study with national and international research organizations, aiming to make viable the economic exploitation of the enterprise, conducting experiments with diverse cultivations, until to define the basis needed to the implantation of its current orchard of premature dwarf cashew.
