Farm in Itaiçaba - CE
Associated with Dantas Empreendimentos Agropecuários, Itaueira originates melon in an irrigated production area near to the borders of the State of Ceara and State of Rio Grande do Norte.
In 1999, both companies have decided to develop a new agricultural model for the plantation and post-harvest of melon, choosing to start it with the yellow melon, having as a major objective to guarantee to consumer a product with sweet taste and pleasant consistency, regardless the fruit the consumer chose at the sale stand.
With the support of its distributors in Brazil and abroad, as well as of its suppliers, Itaueira has involved several institutions in that search, like EMBRAPA and SEAGRI – Ceara’s Executive Office for Irrigated Agriculture, whose presence was remarkable in the development of the project through its field technicians and with its support regarding Foreign Trade.
After years of preparation, planting in small areas and developing new processes for plantation, harvest and post-harvest, today, Itaueira can already offer to the market an exclusive product, handled with extreme care, in order to guarantee the satisfaction of its customers.
