Gaia Cashew Apple
Gaia Cashew Apple is a reddish-yellow cashew fruit, rounded and with average weight of 100g. GAIA cashew apple is sweeter and less “astringent” (tannin) than the other types of cashew apple.
It is the result of years of research made by EMBRAPA, it is a special variant, coming from premature dwarf - type cashew tree, multiplied due to the quality of its fruit, which has less tannin and more sugar than the conventional cashew fruit.
The farm’s orchards are totally organic, and treated with the most advanced equipments for cultivation handling. We do not use agrotoxics.
To guarantee its characteristics and quality, GAIA cashew apple is hand-reaped, one by one, directly from the tree at the right ripening time.
The post-harvest processing is performed under rigorous hygienic control, by specialized professionals, aiming to keep the natural characteristics of GAIA cashew apple during the transportation and storage, guaranteeing its quality as long as 21 days after harvest, if conditioned under ideal cooling conditions.
Gaia Cashew Apple is marketed by our representatives throughout Brazil in plastic trays with 3, 4 or 6 units. The transport is carried out by refrigerated trucks loaded with pallets bearing 348 stackable cardboard boxes, each one containing 4 plastic trays with cashews wrapped up in transparent plastic film.
