Premature dwarf cashew seeds
The planting of cashew orchards through seeds, in spite of not having the same quality of those planted through budded seedlings, are by far superior than (giant) conventional cashew orchards, mainly due its low cost and to be easy to transport to distant places.
Seed planting allows the plant budding, a few months after the planting, by using EMBRAPA’S tree-top replacement technology. It is the most economic way of implanting the cultivation.
The budded seedlings ensure to the producer the quality of the cashew-tree, which will have all characteristics of the mother tree from which it received the budding.
Itaueira prepares, for its own use and for commercialization, premature dwarf cashew seeds from the EPACE/EMBRAPA’s CCP-76 clone, with a high germination index and quality warrant, and budded seedlings from the EPACE/EMBRAPA’s CCP-76 clone for sale by ordering.
The seeds are available in the period between June and November. We guarantee delivery of confirmed orders only.
The seedling production occurs only if they are already contracted and prepaid. The delivery time is settled upon agreement.
Itaueira was the first company to offer to the market, premature dwarf cashew’s budded seedlings, GAIA CASHEW, in plastic tubes with 8-cm diameter, seedling average height of 40 cm, and average weight of 200g.
This innovation substantially improves the radicular system of the seedlings and lowers the freight costs in their transportation, permitting the transport of a larger amount of seedlings per truck.
